If Taxi Drivers Were Allowed to Review Passengers

We've all seen passenger reviews of taxi drivers. But what if the tables were turned?

Imagine a world where taxi drivers could leave honest (and slightly cheeky) reviews after every trip. Here's what they might look like...

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ - The Dream Passenger

Review:

Ready outside before I arrived.

Knew exactly where they were going.

Said hello, said thank you, and didn't try to become my unofficial sat nav.

Even wished me a good shift.

Would happily pick up again.

⭐⭐☆☆☆ - "I'll Be Two Minutes"

Review:

Passenger sent the classic text:

"Just coming!"

After waiting 12 minutes, they finally appeared... carrying a takeaway coffee they'd clearly bought before getting in the taxi.

Time works differently for this passenger.

⭐⭐⭐☆☆ - The Backseat Navigator

Review:

Suggested five different routes during a 10-minute journey.

Every one of them was slower than the one I was already taking.

Confidence: 10/10.

Navigation skills: Needs improvement.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ - The Quiet One

Review:

Pleasant passenger.

Enjoyed a peaceful journey without asking whether I'd been busy, what time I finish, or if I knew their cousin from Birmingham.

Five stars.

⭐⭐☆☆☆ - The Last-Minute Shopper

Review:

Booked a taxi home.

Then requested:

  • A cash machine
  • A supermarket
  • A pharmacy
  • "Just one quick stop"

Journey somehow became a guided tour of the town.

⭐⭐⭐☆☆ - The DJ

Review:

Asked if they could connect their phone to Bluetooth.

Played exactly three songs.

Skipped all three halfway through.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ - The Appreciative Passenger

Review:

Smiled.

Said thank you.

Left the car exactly as they found it.

Restored my faith in humanity.

⭐☆☆☆☆ - The Door Slammer

Review:

Closed the taxi door with enough force to wake the neighbours.

Car survived.

Driver's heart rate took a little longer to recover.

⭐⭐⭐☆☆ - The Fare Predictor

Review:

Asked how much the journey would cost every two minutes despite traffic changing constantly.

Unfortunately, I still haven't learned how to predict the future.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ - The Phone Forgetter

Review:

Left their phone on the back seat.

Returned two minutes later looking like they'd misplaced the Crown Jewels.

Happy ending: phone safely reunited with owner.

⭐⭐☆☆☆ - The "I Know a Shortcut" Expert

Review:

Recommended a route I'd already ruled out because of roadworks.

We didn't take it.

Five minutes later they admitted I was right.

A rare but satisfying moment.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ - The Comedy Passenger

Review:

Great conversation.

Lots of laughs.

Journey flew by.

Would happily drive again.

Passengers like this make long shifts much more enjoyable.

Final Rating

The truth is, most passengers are polite, friendly, and appreciative. But every now and then, someone gives drivers a story they'll be telling for years.

If taxi apps ever introduced passenger reviews from drivers, we'd probably all think twice before saying, "I'll only be a minute."

What Star Rating Would You Give Yourself?

Now it's your turn!

If taxi drivers really could review passengers, what star rating do you think you'd earn?

  • ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ - The Perfect Passenger - You're always on time, polite, ready to go, and you never forget to say "thank you."
  • ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ - Almost Perfect - Friendly and easy-going, but you occasionally ask for "just one quick stop."
  • ⭐⭐⭐☆☆ - The Backseat Navigator - You can't resist suggesting a different route-even when the driver knows best.
  • ⭐⭐☆☆☆ - The "I'll Be Two Minutes" Passenger - You mean well, but your two minutes somehow become ten.
  • ⭐☆☆☆☆ - The Door Slammer - You leave a lasting impression... mostly on the taxi door!

Be honest! Drop your star rating in the comments and tell us why. We'd also love to hear the funniest thing that's ever happened to you in a taxi-whether you were in the driver's seat or the back seat!
