Source: TaxiPoint
Transport minister Simon Lightwood has told Parliament that the Department for Transport will publish a draft Taxi and Private Hire Vehicle Bill for early scrutiny before it is formally introduced. Answering a question about accessible transport in rural and coastal areas, he said the aim is to strengthen existing protections and remove barriers to travel for disabled passengers. No publication date for the draft bill has been given yet.
